Introduction to Blacksmithing

January 11 - Introduction to Blacksmithing
$200.00

Working hot iron successfully requires that the smith understands how to design, make and use blacksmithing tools. Being able to custom make your own tools encompasses the very essence of being a blacksmith. The purpose of this class is to present the fundamentals of tool design, function, heat, force, tooling and iron. Using this knowledge, each student will design and forge their own shepherd's knife and basic tools. This introductory class provides a solid smithing foundation and is required for follow on group and private classes.

The Introduction to Blacksmithing Class is required for all other Classes
